- Roll counts come from the Ministry's own return, not estimates.
- Zone status is read directly from the Enrolment Scheme field.
- Equity Index replaced the old decile system in 2023.
- Ethnic breakdowns use the Ministry's own reporting categories.
Good to know
What we don't do
- We don't rank schools by "best overall" — that's subjective.
- We don't accept payment for placement in any list.
- We don't hide when a field is missing — we say so.
